Kivett Bednar makes custom canvases and painting installations in a Post-Prismatic style. His pieces in this style are usually interpreted as landscapes, but turning the paintings upside down and sideways can reveal new symbols and hidden meanings. He works in the overlapping of thin paint layers. Most of his pieces are acrylic on canvas. For the future he is concepting larger installations in stained glass and gels.

Kivett Bednar’s band The Pining Hearts won Best Local Band and Best Indie Rock Band in Willamette Week’s Best of Portland. In addition, Kivett won Best Visual Artist as well.
Kivett Bednar produced the album Better Than I Was for the Rae Gordon Band. That year it won a Muddy Award for Best Album 2017. The band had just placed third in the International Blues Challenge 2016.
